Olivier Baeten: anticipate and lock your bicycle!

I bought my first bike with my first salary in 1992. Ever since I cycle to work and I cover 6 km from home(Etterbeek)  to work. Today I ride on my fourth bicycle (one being stolen because I let it unlocked for 15 minutes outside a café in Brussels).

Cycling keeps me fit and that is mainly why I am doing it for. When it rains I take the public transport. I would never want to change with a car because it's too slow in the city.  I anticipate on potential dangers and I feel  in the Brussels trafic as a fish in the water.

Explorers in a world that is ruled by the car...

The stories of many cyclists of our company tell basically the same.
Cycling to work is often timesaving (especially on short distances). The weather isn't a disturbing factor at all and life gets an extra dimension. We cannot hide in the cocoon of a car. We are in the middle of the action. We taste life, we meet people, we enjoy beauty even on dark days.
The trip from home to the office is the moment by excellence to refresh the mind and to start the day with loads of energy.
Cyclists of today are explorers: we travel on unexploited and unknown paths in a world that is dominated by the car.  Enter a New World by reading the unique testimonials of Mobistar's explorers.
